Downtown Dowagiac just got hotter! The second annual barbecue competition featuring an amatuer division sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society will be held during the annual Summer Festival. This community celebration is a family-friendly event, featuring music and dance, children’s interactive entertainment, games and rides, and food trucks. Families can browse summer sales at retail specialty shops, and the booths of artisans, community organizations and commercial vendors. Southwestern Michigan College's annual Steve's Run will start downtown Friday evening.

9 - 5 PM: Book Sale at the Library

12-7 PM: Street Vendors, Sidewalk Sales & Food Trucks

12 - 7 PM: Children's Activities & Pop-up Splash Pad

6 PM - Steve's Run hosted by SMC

6-10 PM: Oak + Ash Beer Tent with live music
