"Sunday Afternoon Talks" Begins at Stratford Library "Equity is Justice" is Topic for January 21 Program

The Stratford Library will start 2024’s "Sunday Afternoon Talks", its series of informative and entertaining talks featuring prominent local guest speakers. Guest speaker Kelly Vaugham will present "Equity is Justice: Public Health, Policy & Human Rights". The talk is free and open to the public.

Guest speaker Kelly Vaughan will give a brief introduction of Global Girls Worldwide Women (GGWW), who they are, and what they do. And then talk about the issues that the group specifically address: child marriage, safety and opportunity for girls in school, FGM/C, policy making, the experience of women in war, and legal reform. Vaughan, Founder and CEO of Global Girls Worldwide Women, is a relentless advocate for girls and women. She works to end human rights violations and engage everyone, from grassroots to leaders of nations in actions that bring safety, opportunity, justice, economic independence and peace around the world.
