Please check out the schedule below for a tentative day-by-day look at the 20th annual Telluride Plein Air Festival in 2023. All events are open to the public to view. Artists will be painting in and around Telluride for the duration of the festival. Participation in the Quick Draw and selling work at the Art Exhibition & Sale is only open to Telluride Plein Air official artists who were chosen through a jury. Thank you for your interest!

Golden Hour Quick Draw Competition & Sale

A 90-minute painting competition in the heart of Telluride, followed by judging and a flash sale outside of the Sheridan Opera House at 6:30 p.m. The Quick Draw winner will be awarded at 6:45 p.m.

Art Exhibition & Sale

Stop by the Sheridan Opera House courtyard and Elks Park for an exhibition and sale of artwork created in Telluride during the week as well as some special local artisans. Forty percent of sales go to support the Sheridan Arts Foundation, the non-profit that owns and operates the historic Sheridan Opera House.
