From: The Buttonwood Tree Performing Arts and Cultural CenterMiddletown, CT -- The Buttonwood Tree has received a $2,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Middlesex County to fund a part-time Administrative Assistant.
The Buttonwood Tree is a not-for-profit organization that serves Middlesex County with musical performances, visual art, and accessible culture. In the past, we have held dance performances, children's art lessons, and youth musical recitals.
The CFMC grant will be used to fund a part-time Administrative Assistant who will assist the Board of Directors in creating new programming, uses for the Buttonwood space, and expanding our Used Bookstore.
Amy Albert, Board President of The Buttonwood Tree, states, “with the recent resignation of our longtime Executive Director, Anne-Marie, we are hiring Lisa Henault to help us with day-to-day organization to support the Board of Director's focus on expanding our community outreach, including bringing in more diverse audiences, performers, and Board Members in the year(s) ahead. This includes creating new programming in collaboration with diverse community members, inviting the community to use the Buttonwood space, and expanding our Used Bookstore.”
