Bang on a Can is back in person at the Jewish Museum this season, presenting two dynamic concerts inspired by the current exhibition New York: 1962–1964. Join us on December 8 for RAJAS, an ensemble of improvisers exploring expansive, boundary-breaking music led by artist and composer Rajna Swaminathan, and on December 15 for a special performance of Morton Feldman’s For John Cage (1982), performed by Karl Larson on piano and Erica Dicker on violin.
Tickets: $22 General; $15 Students and Seniors; $12 Members
Includes Museum Admission; doors open at 6 pm
All attendees will be required to wear a mask during this onsite program.

Groove to the captivating sounds of Divinity Roxx, the Grammy-nominated musician, recording artist, and composer who has led the all-female band on tour for Beyoncé, as she combines virtuosic bass playing with an eclectic mash-up of hip-hop, rock, and funk that she calls "Alternative Soul."
Tickets: $18 Adults, $14 Jewish Museum Members, includes Museum admission. Children 18 and under are free with RSVP

Drawing Connections: Sketches for Hanukkah
Wednesday, November 30
1 – 3 pm EST
Zoom, Virtual Program
Learn about Hanukkah by exploring the form and function of ceremonial objects, discussing artwork connected to the holiday, and engaging in sketching activities. Inspired by the Museum's collection, experiment with various drawing techniques such as line, contour, gesture, and shading to create a series of sketches for Hanukkah.
Participants should have access to a computer with a camera and WiFi, and will receive a Zoom link prior to the program date.
All skill levels are welcome.

Join us for an in-person conversation between artist Martha Edelheit and Associate Curator Rebecca Shaykin. Edelheit's 1962 work Tattooed Lady is included in the exhibition New York: 1962–1964 and will serve as the jumping-off point for a discussion that will touch on the life, work, and unique vision of this artist.
