Wishing Well Theatre invites actors to audition for their Summer 2024 production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
There is something truly magical about experiencing live theatre under the stars. So grab a blanket or lawn chair and a picnic basket and join us for a memorable night of entertainment the whole family will enjoy!
After their successful productions of Much Ado About Nothing(2021) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2022), they return to Fenton’s Rackham Park with one of Shakespeare’s magical final plays - The Tempest, directed by Karen Sheridan.
The banished duke Prospero and his daughter Miranda have lived on a desolate island since he was thrust out of power by his usurping brother Antonio. As a ship filled with his enemies sails nearby, Prospero conjures a tempest that leaves them wrecked and sprawled on his shores. Through magic and twists, Prospero exacts revenge… as his daughter discovers something altogether different.
The show will begin at 7:30, there will be a pre-show beginning at 7pm.
