In just over a week, we open the premiere of The Ghost of Woodland Opera House on our historic stage. This is a very exciting time, not only for us, but for the playwrights (Matthew Abergel & Bob Cooner) who have worked for several years to bring this story to the theatre. We hope that you enjoy this production which is a dramedy, as it has dramatic as well as comedic content.

Inspired by the history of the WOH and the heroism of volunteer firefighter William W. Porter, the single casualty of the fire of 1892 that resulted in the loss of the original Opera House, the story follows a troupe of traveling actors in 1909 who arrive at the theatre to perform their latest melodrama. While there, mysterious accidents make a mess of their dress rehearsal. Could it be the malevolent meddling of the ghost? Find out for yourself, you won't be the first to wonder if this is a true phenomenon.

Paranormal experts have visited the Opera House through the years in search of ghostly activity. The above YouTube clip from 2012 shows psychic, Caren Clarke, explaining what she "sees" in the green room under the Opera House.

Experience The Ghost of Woodland Opera House live. It's sure to make your 2022 Halloween season a memorable one! Auditions for Treasure Island

Auditions for our production of Treasure Island (The Prince Street Players version) will be held on Sunday, October 9 & Monday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m. Directed & choreographed by Jeff Teague, this will be an especially fun one from our Theatre For Families series with performances January 13-22.

Highlights from the show are a score that is rich in sea shanties, exciting songs of sailing on the high seas, and beautiful ballads. This musical adaptation of a favorite childhood adventure story by Robert Louis Stevenson will provide thrilling tales of pirates, treasure maps, mutiny on the high seas and pieces of eight. It follows Jim Hawkins, an ordinary youth who is drawn into a dangerous race for buried treasure against the treacherous Long John Silver.

Come on out and share your talent! Roles are available for both teens and adults. Find all of the details (full list of roles, how to prepare for your audition, and rehearsal schedule) on our website at the button below.
