Southern Lights, presented by Friends of Coal, is a magical holiday tradition for thousands of families throughout the Bluegrass and beyond. See over a million twinkling lights! Enjoy the return of the Holiday Village which promises to be brighter than ever! Featuring photos with Santa, Animal Land, model trains, and so much more, the Southern Lights Holiday Village is sure to delight guests of all ages.
Open nightly through December 31 (Closed Christmas Day) from 5:30-10:00 pm.
Alltech's Celebration of Song
This Sunday, December 11th at Alltech Arena
Don't miss Alltech's Celebration of Song featuring University of Kentucky Opera Theatre and winners of the Alltech Vocal Scholarship Competition!
Join us for this spectacular event at Alltech Arena this Sunday, December 11th from 4:00-5:30 pm. Doors open at 3:00 p.m.; admission and parking are free. Donations will be accepted for Eastern Kentucky flood relief through the Pearse Lyons ACE Foundation.
Spend a Winter Day at KHP
Explore equine history at the International Museum of the Horse and the American Saddlebred Museum during a winter visit to the Kentucky Horse Park! Then chat with our equine staff as they introduce you to some of the horses they care for during our scheduled Stall-Side Chats. The Park is open Wednesday–Sunday, 10 am-4 pm.
Stall-Side Chat Schedule:
11:00 am Hall of Champions
1:30 pm Breeds Barn
2:00 pm Big Barn
2:30 pm Hall of Champions
TIP: Guests are welcome to tour the barns anytime during the day, but the Stall-Side Chats are the best times to see horses.
