Town of Avon Warming Centers

Extreme cold temperatures are forecasted starting Thursday night (February 2nd) through Sunday morning (February 5th).  Temperatures are expected to drop into the single digits or lower with wind chills near 30 below zero.  The Avon Senior Center and the Avon Free Public Library will be open during normal business hours and will serve as warming centers.  The locations and hours are as follows:

Avon Senior Center

Avon Free Public Library

Hours: Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday & Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

If residents are in need of protection from the extreme cold when warming centers are not available, please call Non-Emergency Dispatch at (860) 409-4200 and the Town will make arrangements to provide you with access to a warming facility.
