Maps of Plowed
Streets & Sidewalks

Let it continue to snow with the Town's amazing plow team! The Town of Jackson’s Public Works Department and the Town and County’s Parks & Rec Department have been working around the clock to respond to big snow events this winter. This season, the level of service has been reduced, due to staffing shortages, and we've been incredibly impressed with all our crew has been able to plow. Thank you! In order to inform the public about what they can expect, the Town has created maps with both streets and sidewalks that the community and visitors can expect will be plowed within 24-hours of snow storms. We hope this helps people plan their winter routes as they move between work, home, and play. CLICK HERE to download the map of plowed streets. CLICK HERE to download the map of plowed sidewalks, and enjoy the rest of the time in this wintery wonderland!

Staff Highlight:
Claudia Juarez

Claudia Juarez, Housing Specialist for the Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Department is passionate about helping our community. Originally from Chihuahua Mexico, Juarez went to law school before moving to the United States twenty years ago. She initially settled in Utah, where she owned and operated her own business prior to moving to Jackson in 2019. In her role as the Housing Specialist Juarez is often the first person people interact with as they look to connect with the Housing Department. Juarez answers inquiries, assists with housing intake forms, helps with Spanish interpretation and translation, and so much more! She admittedly has a special place in her heart for the hispanic community in the valley and was formerly a Client Service Specialist at One22 Resource Center. Housing Director April Norton shares, "Our team is stronger and better able to serve our community because of Claudia and the professionalism, positivity, and dedication to public service she brings on a daily basis." Outside the office, Claudia enjoys cooking, dancing, and family time. Thank you for your service to the town and our entire community Claudia!

Jackson/Teton Animal Shelter's Pet of the Month

Patty, also known as "Petunia," is a bundle of love who appreciates the simple things in life: snacks, cuddles, and playing with her ball. This 4.5 year old bulldog was found tied to a fence post last July, but she doesn't hold her past experience with people against anyone. Instead, she prefers to focus on her soccer skills, spending hours kicking her ball around the yard. Cute Petunia enjoys people of all ages and would love to be the only dog in her forever home. CLICK HERE to fill out an application to adopt, CLICK HERE to learn more about this special pup, and CLICK HERE for a video of Petunia playing ball in the snow!

The Town and County are reminding the community that feeding wildlife has many negative impacts. This educational video highlights why not to feed animals and a few simple steps everyone can take to minimize conflict: 1. Don’t feed wildlife; 2. Properly manage trash; and 3. Respect wildlife from a distance.
