Town of Mansfield employees continue to work closely with Eversource to ensure safe road conditions and the quick restoration of electricity. It is imperative that if you are without electricity, contact Eversource at 1-800-286-2000. Crews will be working throughout the day. Treat all downed wires as live.

The Mansfield Community Center is open today, December 24^th, until 4:00pm as a warming center.

The Mansfield Fire and Emergency Services encourage safe use of generators during extended power outages:

- Always operate generators outdoors. Carbon monoxide poisoning can occur if operated indoors or in the garage, even with the door open.
- Ensure safety to line workers. Use a transfer switch on your household electrical system to prevent backfeeding into the electrical power grid.
- Allow generators to cool prior to refueling

Do not use any heat source in your house that produces carbon monoxide. This includes BBQ grills and propane stoves.
