Help Wanted
The Lymes’ Senior Center is looking to hire a part time assistant to the director. More details here. Deadline to submit application materials is Wednesday, October 26.

Drug Take Back Day
Turn in your unused or expired medication for safe disposal on Saturday, October 29 from 10 am - 2 pm at the Old Lyme firehouse at 69 Lyme Street. Drive through. All medications, prescription & over the counter. Free and anonymous. No questions asked.

Online absentee ballot portal
The State of Connecticut Online Absentee Ballot Request Portal is now live. If you have a valid Connecticut Driver’s License or Non-Driver ID number, you may use this portal to request your absentee ballot for the State Election. The Town Clerk’s office receives applications daily from the State, and your absentee ballot will be processed and mailed to you the next day. To request your absentee ballot online, click here. If you have any questions, please contact the Town Clerk’s office at (860) 434-1605 Ext. 220 or 221.

Halloween
Halloween will be on Monday, October 31st and we are expecting around 700 trick-or-treaters to be on Lyme St. In an effort to help Lyme St. residents with the huge demand for candy, people have been generous to drop off candy at LYSB or the Town Hall during the week before Halloween. That will then be distributed by the Lymes’ Youth Service Bureau. Please be a sweet tooth and help this cause!

Enjoy the great fall weather.

Tim Griswold, First Selectman
