From: Town Of South HadleyThe Notch Visitor Center will be open Thursday through Monday 9:00am - 4:00pm until mid-March. The Visitor Center in the Mount Holyoke Range State Park features park orientation information, maps, exhibits on local wildlife and geology, restrooms, and drinking water. Try the Visitor Center Scavenger Hunt or take a hike in the park. The Visitor's Center is accessible by PVTA public transit (Amherst R38). The building, located at 1500 West Street in Amherst, is wheelchair accessible.
DCR has available free public programs that will be held from January through March. The Winter 2023 Programs will meet inside the Notch Visitor Center, unless otherwise noted. The numerous program opportunities encompass a wide range of topics, ages, and abilities. Parking is free. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Reasonable accommodations available upon request. Please follow all current COVID guidelines. Visit Mass.gov/COVID for more guidance. Program times and dates are subject to change. Inclement weather extreme cold, may cancel programs, call ahead. Trails may be snow-covered, icy, or muddy.
