Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic

Town Meeting

Fall Town Meeting continues on Thursday, November 17th, 7:00pm at Winchester High School. You can view the warrant, motion book and other reports on the Town's website. Please visit www.winchester.us and click on the Town Meeting link (red arrow below)

Winchester Notification Systems

The Town of Winchester has two notification systems. A non-emergency notification system called Notify Me is through the Town's website. You can sign up to get an email when new news items are posted (see the bottom row on the front page of the site), government meetings, community events, agendas and alerts. The Winchester Aware system is the Town's Reverse 911 system. Emergency alerts are sent via phone call, email and/or text from this system. Follow the yellow arrow above to sign up for Notify Me and/or Winchester Aware.

All Night Parking Ban

Throughout this winter vehicles parked on the street for more than 1 hour between 1 am-7 am may are subject to being ticketed. During a snow emergency vehicles left on the street may be ticketed and or towed.

The Winchester police will be placing warnings on vehicles in violation of the town’s all night parking ban. Vehicles in violation of the of the town’s all night parking ban will be subject to fines. For residents who live in or around the center of town, vehicles can be parked, overnight, in the Jenk's lot and in the non-metered spaces on Aberjona Drive. Those vehicles MUST be moved prior to businesses opening in the morning.

Recreation Department

Construction on the Mystic School/Recreation Department multi-use sport court has begun. The court is slated to be under construction for approximately 2-3 weeks and should be completed by the end of November. The new court will allow for a wider variety of games to be played for the children who attend the Recreation Department's Kid Connection Pre-K and After School program and will allow the department to offer additional fee-based enrichment programs. The court will have the option for volleyball, street hockey, basketball, hopscotch, 4-square, badminton and tennis instruction. A new handicap accessible ramp will make the court accessible from the parking lot.

-En Ka Turkey Trot - November 24th: The En Ka Society of Winchester will host its 3rd Annual 5k/3.1 m “Turkey Trot” on Thanksgiving morning at 8AM, beginning at the Jenks Center 109 Skillings Road. Start a new Thanksgiving tradition for the whole family. You can walk, trot or run the race before you stuff your face!

-Winchester Home & Garden Club's Festival of Trees - November 30th, 12pm-3pm and 6pm9pm: Evening Viewing with Lite Fare Purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of these beautiful trees. Drawing will take place Nov. 30 at 9pm. The donations will directly benefit the continual beautification efforts to our Community
