Adult Programming

As Seen on Streaming Book Club Monday, November 21st from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Read the book your next favorite show is based on! As Seen on Streaming Book Club is accepting new members! Limited copies of this month's book are available for checkout at our main branch. Holiday Trivia Night Tuesday, November 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Test your Holiday trivia knowledge! Gather your family, and friends, put on your thinking caps, and join us for a night of trivia! Team up or come solo. Compete to win bragging rights and prizes.  This trivia is geared towards teens/adults challenge level, but all are welcome! Registration is required for this event. 
All CT Reads: The House on the Cerulean Sea Monday, December 5th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Join us for the final book we will read over this year. The House on the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune is an enchanting love story, masterfully told, about the profound experience of discovering an unlikely family in an unexpected place and realizing that family is yours. All CT Reads is sponsored by the CT State Library, it is a year-long initiative to promote lifelong reading, learning, and connection. Registration is required for this event.
Friends of the Trumbull Library – Regular Meeting Wednesday, December 7th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This is a regular meeting of the Friends of the Trumbull Library.  All are invited to attend.  The Friends are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to advocate and raise funds for the Trumbull Library.  For more information about the Friends, along with information on how you can join and contribute, please click here.
Adult Fiction Book Club Thursday, December 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Adult Fiction Book Club is back! Join us as we read and discuss The Midnight Library by Matt Haig in-person at the Trumbull Library. We meet every second Thursday of the month in the Kiwanis conference room. We have a limited amount of copies of this month's book available for checkout at the main branch. Register here.
Friends of the Library Book Sale Saturday, December 10th from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Friends of the Trumbull Library will conduct a book sale in the community room. Stop by for some holiday cheer and pick out some reads for your family and friends this holiday season. All are welcome! For more information about the event click here.
Adult DIY Snow Globes Saturday, December 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Come craft with us this holiday season! We will be building snow globes during this do-it-your-self event. All supplies are included, but patrons are welcome to bring in their own mini figurines to make their snow globe scene. Snow globes are 3 1/2 inch diameter. Registration is required

Children & Teen Programming

Toddler Time for 2s and 3s Monday, November 21st from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Join Ms. Chelsie in person for great stories, songs, and dances. Ages 2-3. To ensure all families have a chance to try and attend this program, you must register every week.
Disguise the Gingerbread Man Tuesday, November 29th from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Listen to Miss Elise read the story of the Gingerbread Man before receiving a paper outline of your own Gingerbread Man. Decorate a disguise for him, so instead of running away, he can hide in plain sight. Should you dress him up as a different book character? An animal? It's up to you! All craft supplies will be provided. Grades K-3. Registration is required.
Memory Tips for Teens Wednesday, November 30th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Did you know that a recent study from Stanford University suggests that the techniques used by memory athletes can be taught, learned, and create changes in the brain that enhance memory skill? Come learn about the tips and techniques used by memory athletes! Just in time for students preparing for winter finals. Register here.
Harry Potter Trivia Party Thursday, December 1st from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. We’ve spent the past year celebrating the 25th anniversary of the publication of the first book in the Harry Potter series. We read (and reread) all seven books, we threw Harry a birthday party in July, and now it's time to test our knowledge. Join Miss Elise for a fun game of trivia! Participants with the top two scores will receive small prizes. A third winner will be randomly selected from the remaining participants. Recommended for ages 7-12. Registration is required.

Children's Story Time

Toddler Time for 2’s and 3’s Monday, November 21st from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Join Ms. Chelsie in person for great stories, songs, and dances. Ages 2-3. To accommodate COVID guidelines, we will limit the number of participants each week. To ensure all families have a chance to try and attend this program, you must register every week.
Baby Time Tuesday, November 22nd from 11 a.m. to 12:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Meet in-person at the library for story time! Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform finger plays. Registration is not required.
Preschool Story Time Wednesday, November 23rd from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Ages 3-5. Meet in-person at the library for story time! Listen to stories, sing songs, and complete a simple craft. This session of preschool time does not require registration. Masks are required for anyone who is unvaccinated.
Baby Time Tuesday, November 23rd from 11 a.m. to 12:20 a.m. Ages birth to 2. Meet in-person at the library for story time! Listen to a story, sing songs, and perform finger plays. Registration is not required.
