Salt Lake City - As Vice President Kamala Harris stood up to Donald Trump and decisively won last night’s debate, hundreds of Utahns showed their enthusiasm for Vice President Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, achieving record volunteer sign-ups for state and local Democratic candidates. On Sep 11th, and every day until November 5, Utah Democrats will wake up ready to harness last night’s momentum and hit the ground to engage voters and make the choice in the election clear to all Utahns. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the only candidates in this race who will fight for us and chart a new way forward.

During the debate, Utahns showed their enthusiasm for Vice President Kamala Harris and Tim Walz as Utah Democrats held nine debate watch parties across the state, including debate watch parties at the University of Utah, Utah Tech University, and Utah State University.

“Last night, Utahns showed their enthusiasm as Vice President Kamala Harris handily won her debate with Donald Trump and laid out her plan to fight for Utahns and to defeat Trump’s Project 2025 agenda. On Sep 11th, Utahns are harnessing last night’s momentum to continue to put in the work on the ground and win this election,” Utah Democratic Party Chair Diane Lewis said. “There are 55 days left until Election Day and the Utah Democratic Party is engaging voters across the state every day. We’re hitting every block, knocking on every door, and sharing Vice President Harris’ vision to fight for our freedoms and lower costs with Utah voters. Utahns are ready to vote for Harris’ vision of a new way forward and reject the lies and Project 2025 agenda of Donald Trump and JD Vance once and for all on November 5.”
