Evening Adult Book Club at Vineland Public Library

Join the Vineland Public Library’s new Evening Adult Book Club! The May meeting is Monday, May 1, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Community Event Room with a discussion of The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. For help in obtaining a copy of this book and to register, stop in or call (856) 794-4244, ext. 4243. Be sure to say you want the book for the Evening Adult Book Club. The Vineland Public Library is located at 1058 E. Landis Avenue.

Free Resume Workshop at Vineland Public Library

  - Are you looking for a job? Do you need help writing a resume? Are you interested in learning what potential employers look for in job candidates?  If so, the Vineland Public Library, 1058 E. Landis Avenue, has the program for you!     Local Business Specialist Bob Marino will host a free resume workshop on Monday, May 15 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the library’s Community Event Room (located on the first floor).

This workshop, sponsored by the Friends of Vineland Public Library, will include tips on how to build an effective resume, a review of different resume formats, and information on how to format a cover letter. Please bring a resume or    draft if you have one. Registration is required for this free event, and space is limited to 20 people. Vineland Public Library April 2023 Holiday Hours

The Vineland Public Library, 1058 E. Landis Avenue, announces the following hours in May:

 - Monday, May 29, 2023- The library will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.

Cumberland County Office on Aging and Disability at Vineland Public Library

During the month of May, the Cumberland County Office on Aging and Disability Services will provide assistance at the Vineland Public Library, located at 1058 E. Landis Avenue.  Staff from the Office on Aging and Disability Services will be on hand to perform intakes and assist seniors.

This free service will take place in the Public Office, located on the second floor of the library, from 9:30 – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. every Wednesday and Thursday. Registration is not required. Additional dates will be announced.

PRAC of Southern New Jersey Hosts Senior Dance Class at Vineland Public Library

During the month of May, P.R.A.C. of Southern New Jersey will host free senior dance classes at the Vineland Public Library, located at 1058 E. Landis Avenue. Part of SAIL, Stay Active and Independent for Life, these classes will help participants build strength, improve balance, and stay active. Experienced, skilled instructors will provide exercises that have been tested with older adults, and the program will also help participants meet new people and make great friends!

This free service will take place in the library’s Community Event Room, located on the first floor, every Tuesday, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Registration is required. This program is funded by Title III of the Older Americans Act & the Cumberland County Office on Aging and Disabled.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families at Vineland Public Library

Supportive Services for Veterans and Families will be available at the Vineland Public Library, 1058 E. Landis Avenue, on Tuesday, May 9 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Attendees will learn about the valuable resources available to veterans and their families. Registration is not required. Walk-ins welcome! This program will take place in the Public Office, located on the second floor of the library.

Afternoon Tea and Coloring at Vineland Public Library

Join Vineland Public Library, 1058 E. Landis Avenue, for a relaxing afternoon of tea and coloring. Coloring is not just for kids anymore! Studies have shown that coloring helps adults de-stress, generates wellness, and stimulates brain areas related to motor skills and creativity. This event will be held on Tuesday, May 9, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the library’s Community Event Room, located on the first floor. Tea, coffee, and supplies will be provided. This free program is sponsored by the Friends of the Vineland Public Library. Registration is required. To register, please call the Adult Services Department at 856-794-4244 ext. 4243.

Virtual Trivia Program for Adults with Vineland Public Library

 - The Vineland Public Library, 1058 E. Landis Avenue, will host a free virtual trivia program for ages 18+ on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

 - This program is limited to 20 participants and registration is required. Game links will be emailed out Saturday, May 20 and registrants can play anytime that weekend. The first place winner is eligible for the prize and must be able    to come to the library to pick it up. For more information, and to register, please call the library at 856-794-4244 ext. 4243.

Writers Society Gathering at Vineland Public Library

 - If you have an interest in writing, join the New Jersey Writers Society gathering at Vineland Public Library, 1058 E. Lands Avenue, on Thursday, May 18 from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. There will be in-depth discussion and writing critiques. The    meeting will be held in the Community Event Room on the 1st floor. Everyone is free to attend with registration requested. Call 856-794-4244 ext. 4243 to let us know you’re joining. Walk-ins are also welcome.
