Each year, Waukee hosts a celebration of our nation's independence. Visit Centennial Park on July 3 and 4, 2023 for the annual parade, inflatables, live music, tournaments, fireworks and more!

Monday, July 3, 2023

5-10pm: Food Vendor: American Legion grills up classics - hamburger, hotdogs and brats
5-10pm: Backyard Games (bags, Jenga, tic-tac-toe, badminton, match game) (free)
5pm: Adult Coed Sand Volleyball Tournament ($40 per team; pre-registration required)
Teams may have up to 10 players with six on the court at a time. Each team must have at least three females on the court at a time. ($40 per time)
Pre-register your team by June 30 for two fun tournaments at Centennial Park.
5:30pm: Pie Eating Contest (free, open to all ages)
6pm: Bubble Gum Blowing Contest (free, open to all ages)
6:30pm: Bingo, sponsored by OMNI Wealth Management (free, open shelter)
8:45pm (dusk): Movies in the Park: "Top Gun: Maverick"

7:45am: Waukee Boy Scouts Troop 178 "Waukee Freedom 5K" at Lutheran Church of Hope Waukee (entry fee)
8-10:30am: Rotary Pancake Breakfast (free, but donations accepted; basketball court) - Centennial Park

Noon-1pm: Ice Cream Social with Waukee Ice Cream Shoppe (free; concession stand building) - Centennial Park
Noon-10pm: Food/Beverage Vendors - Centennial Park
1-8pm: Inflatables Village (presale armband $10) - Centennial Park
1pm: Adult Bags Tournament, sponsored by Iowa Orthodontic Solutions (team entry $20; pre-registration required; basketball court)
1-2pm: Community Performances (free) - Centennial Park
5-10:30pm: Live music from Riverside Drive and Oreo Meatwagon (free) - Centennial Park
8pm: Des Moines Skydivers (free) - Centennial Park
9:30pm: Fireworks (free) - Centennial Park
