LANSING, MI - Yesterday, President Donald J. Trump secured the endorsements of Dearborn Heights Mayor Bazzi, as well as several Imams from Michigan’s Muslim community, during his rally in Novi.

At the Suburban Collection Showplace, 46100 Grand River Ave., a group of Muslim imams from the Michigan Chapter of the Arab American Bar Association took the stage to endorse Trump, expressing their support for his stance on ending the wars in the Middle East. “We as Muslims stand with President Trump because he promises peace not war,” one of the imams said. “We are supporting Donald Trump because he promised to end war in the Middle East and Ukraine.”

Dearborn-based Imam Bilal Alzuhiry met Trump backstage along with 20 other religious leaders from across the country to build support for Arab and Muslim Americans. “We believe our religion is a religion of peace. And we don’t want to see no more wars,” said Imam Bilal. Trump accepted the endorsement from Muslim religious leaders as well as from Dearborn Heights Mayor Bill Bazzi.

During Trump’s speech, he brought Detroit-area Imam Belal Alzuhiry and other Muslims supporting Trump on stage. Alzuhiry said he believes Trump will bring peace to the conflict between Israel and Hamas while embracing Trump’s stances on immigration, and social issues. “We support Donald Trump for his commitment to promoting family values and protecting our children’ wellbeing, especially when it comes to curriculums and schools,” Trump said.

“We, as Muslims, stand with President Trump because he promises peace, not war!” Imam Belal Alzuhairi said. “We are supporting Donald Trump because he promised to end war in the Middle East and Ukraine,” Alzuhairi said. “The bloodshed has to stop all over the world, and I think this man can make that happen. I personally believe that God saved his life twice for a reason.”
