Roughly 3,300 people live in Okemah, Oklahoma, a town with vintage redbrick storefronts, a dive bar called the Rocky Road Tavern, a name that means “things up high” in Kickapoo, and a strange track record of birthing great American songwriters: Woody Guthrie is from Okemah. Grammy-nominee John Fullbright is, too. Evan Felker belongs on that list. Felker is the frontman, cofounder, and primary songwriter for Turnpike Troubadours, a virtuosic band of country-rock road dogs who, on any given night of the week, will play for a much bigger crowd than the populations of Okemah and Wright City combined. Singer/guitarist Felker, fiddler Kyle Nix, steel and electric guitarist Ryan Engleman, bassist RC Edwards, drummer Gabe Pearson, and steel and accordion player Hank Early deliver punch after punch of smart rock-and-roll that sells out huge venues throughout the Midwest and South and packs legendary haunts like the Troubadour in Los Angeles.

8:00pm: Tyler Hubbard

With Special Guest Megan Moroney

Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line with special guest Megan Moroney will be performing on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 8PM on the Bobcat of York Grandstand Stage at the 2023 York State Fair.

Tyler Hubbard's face and name are very familiar - and his voice is a staple on country music radio. He's accumulated 20 No. 1 hits with songs now woven into the fabric of music culture. However, he's never made a project bearing solely his name – telling his story – until now. Tyler Hubbard, the debut solo album releases January 27, 2023. Making a solo project was never part of Tyler's plan. As a songwriter who has had more than 100 songs recorded by artists including FGL, Jason Aldean, Chris Tomlin, Zac Brown and Kane Brown, Tyler thought he could be happy as a songwriter for other artists. And he was, but the more Tyler wrote, the more he realized many of the songs were telling his own story, though his music. Nine months later, he released his debut solo single “5 Foot 9” written by Tyler, Jaren Johnston and Chase McGill. By Nov of 2022, it became Tyler’s 20th No. 1 hit. Tyler’s second single, “Dancin’ In The Country,” written by Hubbard, Keith Urban, Jon Nite, and Ross Copperman, is out now. The song was inspired by the nightly dance parties he and his wife have with their kids. Tyler says the song that most incapsulates who he is, is “Small Town Me.” “I set out to express in this song how all those character traits and personality traits from growing up in a small town are universal. The same lifestyle that inspired this music is the same music that’s taken me all over the world where I have met other people who have grown up in small towns and have things in common with me. It’s a pretty powerful connection.”
