30 Acres and a Mule Farm was established in 1999. We offered pony rides, petting zoos, hay rides and western tours along with our well known "Gem Panning".   The gem panning became very popular and we were approached by a teacher at Swansboro High School about an on campus "field trip".    Because of the popularity of the field trips we decided to close the Farm itself and just travel with our gem panning.  Now we offer the gem panning when we travel to you with on campus field trips, summer camps, and parties.  We also offer family gem bags you can pick up from the farm and take home to enjoy!
