The purpose of the 45th Parallel Music & Arts Association is to support the various forms of Music, Art, Dance, and Dramatic Performance in Northeast Michigan. To provide local performance and presentation venues with strong media coverage: Utilizing every available means to support, fund, promote, present and encourage it's growth and development. To enhance it's understanding throughout the region, and facilitate it's enjoyment within the community.

Starting in the town of Atlanta, the only town in Michigan that actually sits on the 45th Parallel, we have selected as our first fund raising project, the construction of a Community Performance Stage in the Briley Township Park in Downtown Atlanta.

In addition to our stated goal for the support and promotion of Music and the Arts in the small economically depressed communities of Northeast Michigan; it is also our goal and desire,as the organization grows, to provide the support and funding for other venues, along the 45th parallel. ~
