Alburgh Announces First
Annual 'Holiday Hop'
Tired of the
malls? Hate large crowds? Dread the hassle of having to think up unique gifts
for Aunt Sally? All your troubles just
disappeared. Come to the 'Holiday Hop'
in Alburgh on Saturday, Dec. 4. The organizations
in town have planned a delightful day and plenty of opportunities to find
something special for your family and friends, while contributing to the local
economy and helping your neighbors.
Your first
stop- the school. Parent groups will be
hosting a Holiday Gift Boutique with assorted gifts, foods and decorations to
brighten your home during the Christmas
Season, as well as a Chinese auction complete with items to enrich your
Holidays. A delicious home-made Soup
lunch, seasonal snacks and a bake sale, will be available to sustain you while
you shop. Then 'hop' over to the library
to browse through their 'Snowy' White Elephant and book sale. If the little ones are along for the ride,
'hop' by the Parent & Alburgh Family Center and bring your camera. Santa will be waiting to help create the
smiles you'll want to remember.
Continue
your 'Hop' to local merchants who are planning special events like an
opportunity to 'Decorate Your Own Wreath', or to shop at a 'Local Artisan Fair' while offering you special holiday merchandise, unique gifts
and of course, trees, wreaths and other holiday decorations to make your home
cheery. Maps for all locations will be available at the school.
