Anahata Balance Farm
It Takes A Village...CSA", was created on the concept of providing fresh locally grown, healthy produce & value added products to the local community. We are not organic certified at this time; however, we do follow all the organic standards, plus many biodynamic techniques. We use living compost, naturally sourced nutrients, and lots of chickens & worms to amend our crops and build healthy soil. Our seeds are purchased from certified organic sources or saved seeds off the farm.
Becoming a CSA member allows us to produce fresh local food, build healthy soil, & enhance the farm to produce more great food.To further support the community, we also provide classes in organic gardening, canning, culturing, and natural food preservation throughout the season.
Anahata Balance Farms provides natural remedies, organic herbal teas and tonics, cultured food products, and of course organic produce, for the health and well-being of the earth and it's people. We grow many of our own herbs and produce on a small 18 acre farm located south of the Traverse City area, where we do our new CSA, "It Takes A Village...CSA". We sell our wares at local farm markets during season. Some of the products we offer are Michigan wild-crafted herbal tinctures, wild berries and leeks, and of course much fresh organic produce. We also sell our line of organic herbal teas and a nice selection of traditional certified organic teas.
