Mission
The mission of Antioch Baptist Church is The Great Commission. It is the desire of our church to follow the Lord's command to take the Gospel to every creature and make disciples.
Founded as Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in May of 1941, the heart of Antioch is to reach the hearts of others. Through the FAITH Sunday School Strategy and a growing Foreign Missions Program, Antioch is reaching out to the world with the good news that Jesus Saves.
One of the greatest things about Antioch is once a person comes to know Jesus as Savior, there are several opportunities for that person to grow as a Christian and to develop as a Child of God.
What we Believe
We believe in the verbal inspiration and authority of the scriptures. We believe the Bible reveals the fall of man, the way of salvation, and God's plan and purpose in the ages.
We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity, virgin birth, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We believe salvation is "by grace" plus nothing and minus nothing. The conditions to salvation are repentance and faith.
We believe that men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before god only through the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We believe in the visible, personal, pretribulational, and premillenial return of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
Motive
The motive for everything that is done here at Antioch Baptist Church is simple. We seek to do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 says "Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."
Through our worship we seek to glorify God.
Through our witness we seek to glorify God.
Through our works we seek to glorify God.
Each time we meet together as a church family, whether for worship or work, our goal is to bring honor and glory to the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
