Mission:

The mission of the Arvin Union School District in partnership with parents and community is to provide each student the opportunity to develop intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially. Through this process all students may become responsible and contributing members of society.

About Our District

Arvin is located in the southern Central Valley of California at the base of Bear Mountain. Our district has a growing population of approximately 3200 students (Spring, 2006). We have four schools: Arvin State Preschool, Sierra Vista Elementary (Kindergarten-5th Grades), Bear Mountain Elementary (Kindergarten-5th Grades), and Haven Drive Middle School (6th-8th Grades). Our 4th school, El Camino Real Elementary School, is under construction and scheduled to open in August 2007. We also have a very active Migrant Education program, offering both Saturday School and an after school program. In addition, our widely-recognized Family Resource Center offers the Arvin Advantage program (after school program), and CBET classes.
