The members of the department have been providing fire protection and rescue services, to the village of Avella, Independence Twp, and Crosscreek Twp , Washington County Pennsylvania since 1932. The fire department covers 70 square miles and respond to give aide to neighboring fire department if requested. We are 100% volunteer, These volunteers are your friends, family, and neighbors who are dedicated to protecting the residents as well as homes and businesses of the Avella area. Avella Volunteer Fire Company is location at 1560 Avella Road, Avella Pa. 15312, We are generally located in Southwestern Pennsylvania, 40 minutes south west of Pittsburgh.  We as a department run a Engine, Pumper Tanker, Light Rescue, and Brush Truck.  We strive to be the best we can, We are dedicated to our community, We train hard,  and do varies fund raising to keep our fire fighting and rescue equipment  up to date.
