The Avon Grove Board of Education, administrators, teachers and staff are committed to each student's success. Our district serves as a model for providing high quality, pupil-centered education. For us to continue with our success in working with your child, we encourage you to become an active participant in the learning process.

As parents, you play an essential role in your child's education. We ask you to set high expectations for academic success. A parent's expectation of success becomes a propelling force to motivate a child. A child who is expected to do well usually does excel. So please do not accept mediocre study habits and grades. Continue to get involved and support your child and local schools by supervising homework, fostering reading at home, limiting television and video games, and talking with your child about the importance of education in our democracy.

As parents you must also set high expectations for our schools. We welcome your involvement, support and constructive thoughts in helping us to improve as a school district. Specifically, get involved with your child's school work and inform us right away about any possible problems. Get to know your child's teacher and form a partnership. Talk to your child about this partnership. Let your child know that you are actively involved and are ready to assist in achieving the highest possible goals.
