The Beech Grove Parks Department aims to please the citizens and visitors of Beech Grove and is endlessly upgrading facilities and activities for the parks. Donate a tree or plant as a group, individual, or organization that can be enjoyed by the entire community. The Parks Department supports the planting of new trees and plants as one of the most important steps an individual or organization can take to restoring our environment.

The parks offer picnic shelters, playgrounds, beautiful creeks and an abundance of towering shade and flowering trees. Facilities throughout the parks include tennis, basketball, softball, baseball, volleyball, skateboarding and horseshoe pits. Educational sport programs such as tennis, softball and basketball clinics are offered periodically throughout the summer. During the winter months, an indoor walking program is offered to the public.

Athletic activities are only a portion of the scheduled activities for the Beech Grove Parks. They also offer numerous band concerts and special events, such as Senior Citizens Day, Children’s Mornings, and their annual July 4th Celebration with fireworks sponsored by the Beech Grove Promoter’s Club, the Fire Department’s Kids Fun Day, and the park’s annual Halloween Costume Contest. Other programs have included magic shows, storytellers, dance troupes and drama groups.

Check out our Fitness Center and Group Exercise Programs. We offer Aerobics and a Stability Ball Resistance Training class. You can also schedule a time for wellness coach sessions or for personal training to help you meet your goals.
