The campus and facilities of Bibb County High School are situated on thirty acres of land on the western bank of the Cahaba River within the Centreville city limits. The campus is bordered on the south by Walnut Street, the east by the Cahaba River, and the west by Birmingham Road (State Road 219). The northern area of the campus consists of a band practice field and five baseball fields of various sizes used by the varsity teams and city youth leagues. Bibb County High School enrolls students in grades 9 – 12 from throughout the southern half of the county. The campus is generally thought of as two separate schools, with the seventh and eighth grade students attending Bibb County Junior High, and ninth through twelfth grade students attending Bibb County High School. There are many buildings spread out over the thirty-acre campus. The Junior High School, which includes the seventh and eighth grades, was built in 1908 and was the original high school. The building was enlarged with the addition of the east and west wings in the 1930s, and it served as the high school until a new senior high building was completed in 1961. At that time, the original Bibb County High School structure became known as Bibb County Junior High School. That building was completely renovated in 1977, and a new gymnasium completed in 1978 replaced the original gym, which was destroyed by fire in 1976.
The main building of the senior high school contains the library, home economics department, administrative offices, classrooms, and lunchroom. The lunchroom serves all students, grades 7-12. The high school gymnasium was built in 1967. The agriculture department is housed in the old Alexander Building, which was built in 1958 and served as an elementary school until desegregation in 1971, when it became part of the high school. The majority of this building was torn down in 1984 and replaced with a seventeen-classroom annex built immediately west of the main building. The gymnasium was completed in 1968 and serves as both a practice and competition facility for boys and girls basketball and volleyball teams from both the junior and senior high schools. The music department is housed in Betty T. Sullivan Hall, which was built in 1975 and sits immediately south of the main building. An athletic field house was completed in 1982. Three Quonset huts strung out along the riverbank serve as storage and maintenance facilities. The athletic fields and football stadium have a number of concession stands, press boxes, restrooms, and ticket booths.
