BCA protects wildlife and wild places in Wyoming and surrounding states, primarily on public lands. Formed in 1988 as Friends of the Bow and incorporated in 1994, the organization changed its name to reflect a growing emphasis on wildlife and a state-wide focus. BCA's five professional staff includes wildlife biologists, lawyers and community outreach organizers, and Executive Director Erik Molvar published 13 hiking and wilderness guides about the West, including Wild Wyoming. BCA strives to reform industrial practices to be in harmony with the needs of wildlife where they are appropriate, and labors to protect special landscapes from industrialization for future generations. Wyoming's wildlife is world class, and its ecosystems are some of the healthiest in the lower 48 United States. They deserve our protection!
