Our CSA is unique, in that most of our subscribers must come to the farm to pick up their produce. We hope that we can provide our subscribers with insight into the farm operations and create a more personal connection between the "farmers" and the "eaters". Each Wednesday we intend to hold workshops or demos in order to provide our share holders with ideas on how to cook or preserve produce, learn about and meet the chickens, goats or other farm animals, and explore other aspects of sustainability that we have integrated into our farm operations. For those with time constraints, we do have 3 drop off locations available as well.

Blackberry Meadows Farm was first certified organic in 1992 and has since provided the Pittsburgh area with high quality local, fruits and vegetables. Our produce is available through CSA shares, East End Food Cooperative , two urban farmers markets and on farm sales.

Our season runs approximately 20 weeks from the end of May through mid to late October. Subscribers travel to our farm once a week to pick up in-season produce. We offer a (2010 pricing) Basic Share for $485, a Plus Share for $800 and a Half Share (subscribers come every other week) for $280. We also raise free-range chickens and turkeys for eggs and meat for our subscribers (at an extra cost).

We also host three city drop-off locations; one in Fox Chapel at the Boyd Community Center, one in Oakland at Phipps Conservatory, and one in Monroeville at the Gateway Farmers Market.
