The original Bold Springs Methodist Church was established in 1823. The name was derived from a spring located near the original site. The church has been located on its present site on Bold Springs Church Road since the early 1890's. The church has two cemeteries, now closed to new gravesites, with graves dating back to the early 1800's.

The congregation has seen many changes over the last century. In 1994, the members experienced one step towards their dreams of growth with the hiring of their first full-time pastor. Previously, the church had been in a variety of circuits, followed by student pastors. The growth has continued and dreams became another step closer with the completion of the new Worship Center, dedicated on February 24, 2002.
