The borough’s history is strongly entrenched in the coal and coke industries and in the railroads. Today this diversified community is writing a new history in steel component fabrication and pet food manufacturing. The Borough has a well maintained Centennial Park, a superb Volunteer Fire Department, a fine part-time Police force, and the Everson Civic Club. As it always strived to do, the Borough of Everson continues to foster a true hometown atmosphere. It remains a friendly community where “you are never a stranger”.
