We are fortunate at the Broadmoor Skating Club to enjoy a superb three ice surface venue two Olympic size rinks (one an 8000 seat arena) and one NHL size. The two rinks other than the arena, known as the Ice Halls, were recently des-ignated as an "Olympic Training Site" for figure skating by the U.S. Olympic Com-mittee. In addition, the club has a plethora of exceptional coaches and the venue offers a full day schedule of ice for training.
BSC is proud of its members and their successes in figure skating, academics and their professional lives.
The Club continues to provide regular ice time for tests, and weekly exhibitions for its members. This year, we are hosting the 17th annual Broadmoor Open and the 7th annual Pikes Peak Classic for Pairs and Dance. We also will be hosting the 2017 Midwestern Sectional Championships.
Our skaters, parents, officials and Board members continue to volunteer their time generously to staff these important events for the Club. The Broadmoor Skating Club is proud of its gifting program which provides funds to eligible skaters to assist them with their skating expenses.
On behalf of the BSC Board, we welcome our new members and I wish every skater the best of luck in competition and sportsmanship.
