The Brockport Yacht Club is primarily a sailing club, located on the South Shore of Lake Ontario, near the mouth of Sandy Creek. It is and has been always a "Do-It-Yourself" club, in which the members take an active role in the activities and upkeep of the Club and the property.
It is approximately 17 miles West of the Genesee River in Rochester, New York, and 12 miles East of Oak Orchard. Visitors from reciprocating yacht clubs are welcome, and any boat in need of a safe refuge will be accommodated within the limitations of the club's facilities.
We have an active Wednesday evening, Holiday, and Special Events racing program , and have a jr. sailing program that is designed to introduce youngsters to sailing. Members take an active role in organizing and running these programs.
As you become more familiar with the club, you will learn that it is a family oriented, community of members that enjoy sharing the sailing experience. If you are interested in becoming a member, it is important, however, that you both understand some of the basic tenets of the club and be willing to follow them on becoming a member. On accepting membership in the Brockport Yacht Club members agree to become active participants in the care and running of the club. Some of these include the following expectations of Brockport Yacht Club Members.
Brockport Yacht Club is pleased to extend Reciprocal Privileges to Participating Yacht Clubs and Marinas for the use of the club facilities during the boating season.
Fellow sailors are invited to join us as we enjoy another year of pleasant sailing on the waters of Lake Ontario. Events are scheduled throughout the year and include invitational regattas and club hosted picnic type celebrations. Members of reciprocating yacht clubs are welcome.
