Burlington Rotary Club
Who We Are:
We are a group of civic and service minded men and women who meet regularly once a week and sometimes on other occasions for fellowship and to discuss ways to better our community and render help to those in need both locally and internationally.
History:
The Rotary Club of Burlington, NC, was organized on April 28, 1925, with eighteen charter members. Since its beginning, the Burlington Club has sponsored Rotary Clubs in Liberty, Gibsonville, Yanceyville, Graham, and the Noon and Breakfast Alamance Clubs. Throughout its history members of the Burlington Rotary Club have been leaders in the civic, political, educational, and religious life of the area. They have assumed prominent roles in the churches, United Way, Salvation Army, Red Cross, cancer and heart associations, the YMCA, Chamber of Commerce, the public schools and local government. One member of the club, the Honorable B. Everett Jordan, served as a member of the United States Senate.
