We are a family who loves good food. In late 2000, we had an opportunity to buy part of an old family farm adjacent to farmland that had been in our family for 70 years. In 2003 we planted 300 blueberry bushes and 60 blackberry plants with the intent of eventually opening a u-pick operation. Then we decided to grow heirloom tomatoes, because home grown tomatoes taste so much better than anything store bought. And one vegetable at a time, we added a large garden to feed ourselves. Except we had more than we could eat and at the same time, our friends were asking to buy what we were growing.
