Carpet City Rotary Club received its charter February 23, 1995. Of the original 40 charter members, there are currently seven remaining in the club's membership. The original name of the club was "The Morning Club of Dalton, Georgia, Inc." This was changed to Carpet City Rotary before the charter was issued.
