About Us:
The Castroville Area Chamber of Commerce will strive to effectively represent the needs of our members by working together with the entire community to facilitate achievement of growth, community stability, and civic price.
The Castroville Area Chamber of Commerce was organized in 1945 to help promote the agricultural, civic, commercial and industrial advancement of the community. The Chamber promotes and contributes to civic betterment, encouraging new business investments and continued patronage and support of local business. The office staff of the Chamber of Commerce is always ready to help with information on the area whether you call in or stop by.
Every year is a busy one for the Chamber - The Red Vest Committee is on call to welcome distinguished tour groups and visitors and assist with ribbon cutting ceremonies at new business openings. In December, the Chamber sponsors the highly successful "Old Fashion Christmas" which is an arts and crafts fair with great entertainment and food that brings together local and area residents with visitors from far and near. The Chamber also sponsors a scholarship program and recognizes the top 10 graduates through an Honor Cord Program. Appreciation for a job well done is expressed to local teachers by sending cakes to the schools at special times. Casino Night each April is an evening of food and exciting Las Vegas-style gaming. The Spring Craft and Garden Show gives you an opportunity to decorate your home and garden with handcrafted items, as well as hear informative gardening speakers. There are antique cars, tractors, food and more! Every summer dozens of volunteers represent the Alsatian Texans at the Texas Folklife Festival in San Antonio. While generating funds for the Chamber, they also show folks how to have a good time, Castroville style!
