Mission

We exist for mission. Mission means that we love and serve each other in the manner of Christ. Part of our worship experience each Sunday includes sharing of praises, concerns and prayer in response to these. We serve our community, notably offering a handicap accessible facility and a home for our area food pantry. We also make a significant commitment to area and world church-related mission.

We are privileged to be ministers of Jesus Christ at Central Presbyterian Church of Petersburg, Illinois. We say that in all sincerity, for it would be hard to imagine a more cooperative, imaginative, hard-working, talented and loving folk.

Our people contribute a wonderful variety of inspiring music from piano, pipe organ, choirs and handbells, every week for worship.

Education and fellowship groups for all ages are an important part of our life together and a way we nurture faith. For the young there is "Awesome Angels" after school. There are Junior High and Senior High fellowships. For adult women we have an active group of Presbyterian Women as well as the Women's Retreat Group. We also have a large Promise Keepers group for men.
