We are a community volunteer chamber orchestra whose goals are to provide an opportunity for local amateur musicians to play and perform. Beyond the opportunity for musicians to play, the orchestra is expected to be a valued asset to the community of Castro Valley and surrounding area.

The range of music we perform varies chamber orchestra works of the post-baroque period, to full orchestral pieces depending on the number and competency of players. We strive to be creative in our programming, collaborating with and incorporating into our performances other local musical or arts groups, as well as guest soloists.

Promoting classical and contemporary orchestral music education in the schools is critical for students and for arts education in the schools and community. To that end, we develop school and community music programs, such as school assembly programs, chamber music programs utilizing orchestra members and other performers, at local and, where feasible, regional venues.
