Charlesmont Elementary School began serving the Charlesmont area in 1962.

The school is located in southeastern Baltimore County. Originally it served only the Charlesmont community area. However, in 1977, its boundaries were changed to include part of the Gray Manor Community. We now proudly serve the area known as Gray-Charles in eastern Baltimore County.

The academic program offers a variety of challenges for all students. We serve students in pre-kindergarten to grade five, and three special education programs. Charlesmont Elementary has a highly qualified and dedicated staff, who provide academic and cultural enrichment for the student population.

Charlesmont offers many special services for its students. Special area classes include library, art, vocal and instrumental music, and physical education. Support services are provided by a reading specialist, speech and language pathologists, nurse, guidance counselor, occupational and physical therapists, inclusion specialists, and other support personnel.

Charlesmont is dedicated to providing a quality education for all students, one that develops the content knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable them to reach their maximum potential as responsible, productive citizens and life-long learners.
