Cedarbrook Middle School provides the bridge for students from the primary grades to their high school years. Students are experiencing the roller coaster of adolescence. One moment they need to play, while, in the next, they are studying algebra, literature or a world language. ALL staff members at Cedarbrook nurture and cajole, and demand high academic performance from all students. The fabric of Cedarbrook is tightly interwoven with firm beliefs and daily actions demonstrating our commitment to these goals:
- Maintain rigorous academic curriculum for all students
- Differentiate instruction to engage all learners
- Sustain an inclusive culture that celebrates the gifts of everyone’s ethnicity and ideals
- Integrate technologically advanced teaching and learning techniques
- Create and sponsor athletic and social activities appropriate to the developmental needs of young adolescent students
- Provide systemic guidance and school success programs providing supports for the transition through adolescence
- Foster partnerships with families and community members, creating a wide network to nurture all students towards adulthood
- Sustain a culture of collaboration between and amongst faculty members
- Prepare students to take responsible and thoughtful roles in their local, national and world communities
