Mission:

The mission of Chester Community Unit School District No. 139 is to provide a strong general education comprised of the acquisition and application of a core set of basic academic and critical thinking skills by all students while assuring all students of an equal right to an educational opportunity that accommodates his or her needs and abilities. The Chester School District also recognizes that a positive self-concept is essential to student achievement. The Chester School District sees the best public education as an active partnership among the school, the student, the home, and the community, with active parental participating enhancing learner academic and social success. Since education is meant to prepare students for life, learning experiences in the Chester School District must prepare students to adapt to change.
