Chico Community Ballet is a ballet company based in Chico, California, for serious dancers between eight and twenty-five years of age. The divisions of Chico Community Ballet include the Senior and Apprentice Companies, and may include a Junior Company and Pre-Company as needed. The dancers are chosen at open auditions each August and perform in a full-length ballet, a repertory dance concert, and various community service events each year. CCB performances supplement classroom ballet training. Chico Community Ballet dancers receive a weekly scholarship class at Chico Creek Dance Centre, the training studio for CCB. Many of the dancers have been accepted to prestigious summer programs at American Ballet Theater, San Francisco Ballet, Boston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, North Carolina's School of the Arts, and Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet. A few members have gone on to dance professionally.
