Organization Overview

Child Advocates of Fort Bend (CAFB) is a not-for-profit organization that successfully works on behalf of child victims of abuse (ages birth to 18) through two advocacy programs. Incorporated in 1991, CAFB provides services to abused, neglected and abandoned children through specially trained community volunteers and staff. CAFB has been privileged to expand and enhance its operations because of strong and loyal community support. The organization began serving abused children in 1992 through the CASA program with one part-time staff, four volunteers and a 12 member Board of Directors. To Date, CAFB has provided a voice for more than 6,000 children in crisis, operates two intensive programs (CASA and the Children's Advocacy Center (CAC), with a staff of 15, a volunteer base of more than 130, 29 members of the Board of Directors and a 21 member Children's Advocacy Center Advisory Council.
