Mission:
Historic Christ Church is a mutually supportive Christian community worshipping in the living Anglican tradition of beauty in liturgy and music. Christ Church bears witness to the love of Christ in prayer, service, and fellowship.
About the Church:
Christ Church, founded in 1742, was entered onto the National Register of Historic Places on July 28, 1989. In 1776, the third public reading of the Declaration of Independence was made from the foot of the church tower. Funding for the Exterior Restoration of the parish buildings, beginning 2002, was made possible in part by the Garden State Preservation Trust administered by the New Jersey Historic Trust, State of New Jersey.
