Our mission is to protect life and property and to minimize suffering and damage due to fire, medical, and environmental emergencies through public education, code management, and incident response. We are dedicated to finding better ways of protecting the lives, homes, and property of the citizens of the City of Monroe.

The Central Fire Station is located close to historic downtown. Satellite stations operate on the East and West Side of the community with boundaries defined by heavily utilized railroad tracks. An Engine Company is deployed at each station and the Central and East Side also house an Ambulance. An Aerial apparatus is assigned to the Central Station as are Haz Mat, Confined Space, and Water Rescue equipment.
