Sac City is Located in the rolling hills of northwestern Iowa. Sac City is filled with turn of the century architecture from Victorian Homes to our historic Courthouse.

Sac City is home to a wood products manufacturer, metal fabrication, wholesale garden products, popcorn distributor (featuring their famous flavored popcorn), textile industry and a healthy variety of other businesses.

History of Sac City:

Sac City, Iowa was first platted in 1855 by John F. Duncombe of Fort Dodge, Iowa. The town was so named because the Sauk and Fox Indians were in possession of the land at the time of the Louisiana Purchase. The City of Sac City was incorporated nineteen years later, in 1874.
